Mark your calendar — here are the key dates for the 2027–2032 BID renewal ballot.
Ballot papers & Business Plans delivered
Every eligible levy-paying business receives their ballot paper and a copy of the proposed Business Plan for 2027–2032, along with the baseline service agreements and full documentation.
Voting closes
All ballot papers must be returned by 5pm on October 8th. See below for how to cast your vote.
Results announced
The outcome of the ballot will be announced and published. The BID term 2027–2032 commences if the vote passes.
How to vote
Voting is simple — mark the corresponding box on your ballot paper and return it using one of the options below.
Self-addressed envelope
Your ballot paper comes with a pre-addressed, postage-paid envelope. Pop your marked ballot paper in the post — it'll arrive at the ballot office automatically.
Ballot box at Town Hall
Visit the ballot box at Wakefield Town Hall, Wood Street, WF1 2HQ, during office hours (Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm) to submit your marked ballot paper in person.
BID team collection (optional)
If you'd prefer, the BID team can arrange to collect your completed ballot paper and submit it on your behalf. Contact the team to arrange.
